Regular polygons on isochordal-viewed hedgehogs

چکیده
A curve $$\alpha $$ is said to be isochordal viewed if there a smooth motion of constant length chord with its endpoints along such that their tangents the at these points form angle. In this paper some properties isochordal-viewed hedgehogs and Holditch curves are studied. It proved that, under conditions, construction closed regular polygons whose vertices move smoothly possible. The property illustrated examples. Moreover, considered it seen they feature similar polygon although are, in general, not parameterized by support function. Finally, recursive iteration for shown converge centers.

متن کاملProtecting regular polygons
The minimum number of mutually non-overlapping congruent copies of a convex body K so that they can touch K and prevent any other congruent copy of K from touching K without overlapping each other is called the protecting number of K. In this paper we prove that the 1 2 Arnfried Kemnitz, LL aszll o Szabb o, Zoltt an Ujvv ary-Menyhh art protecting number of any regular polygon is three or four, ...
متن کاملA note on affinely regular polygons
The affinely regular polygons in certain planar sets are characterized. It is also shown that the obtained results apply to cyclotomic model sets and, additionally, have consequences in the discrete tomography of these sets.
متن کاملTiling with Regular Star Polygons
The Archimedean tilings (Figure 1) and polyhedra will be familiar to many readers. They have the property that the tiles of the tiling, or the faces of the polyhedron, are regular polygons, and that the vertices form a single orbit under the symmetries of the tiling or polyhedron. (Grünbaum and Shephard [1] use Archimedean, in relation to tilings, to refer to the sequence of polygons at each ve...
